Description

I just loved this story! The detail for the time period was perfect. She gave enough to mentally visualize, but not so much you got bogged down. The plot twist was unexpected. But then, I see in her other books, she keeps you guessing to the very end. The knights were a nice addition.

Now, you make think you know how this ends, but you’re in for some massive surprises. The four knights are hilarious. They add so much humor but then, so does the snippy staff. And Edward’s mother? Divine!

There is so much right about this book, I don’t know where to start. Aleana is priceless, Adea, precious, The knights, Sir Odem, Sir Cedgewick, Sir Guy and sir Giles, are a barrel of mishaps, rough language, but own hearts of gold. Then there’s Marquises Edward Graysmark. Strong, arrogant, decisive, but devilishly handsome with a much softer side few are allowed to see. Let’s not forget his witty, sly mother, Fane Graysmark. Then there’s a slew of devoted, comical house staff, and the witchy ex, Gwendoline Safford, who, determined to win Edward’s heart, is willing to do what it takes, to clear away the competition. My only complaint? It didn’t last longer.

Sad thing is, she’s forced to marry Edward hoping he’ll let her get her sister.
